NOMINATED CHARITIES

Who’s on this list?
All qualified charities that currently have a valid nomination from a paid-up member of 100+ Women Who Care Salt Spring Island.

How the list works

  • Charities at the top of our list are the ones expected to present at our next meeting.

  • Some charities have asked to pause their nomination. They are next on our list – they stay in the pool but won’t be selected to present until they ask to be un-paused.

  • Once a charity is nominated, it stays in the pool until either:

    1. it receives the group’s donation, or

    2. none of its nominators remain as members, or

    3. the nominating member (or the charity) asks to remove or pause it.

Membership matters
A nomination is valid only while the nominator is a current, paid member.

After a charity is awarded funds
A funded charity is not eligible again for 3 years. When the 3-year period ends, it needs at least one new nomination to re-enter the pool.

Want to nominate or add your support?

Fill out the Charity Nomination Form to:

      • nominate a new charity, or

      • add your support to a charity already in the pool (active or paused)
