BACKGROUND
In the spring of 2018, six Salt Spring women met and agreed to launch 100 Women Who Care Salt Spring Island.
They were inspired by the efficiency and speed with which this collective fundraising model could raise money for charities, and they saw a need for high-impact philanthropy on Salt Spring Island.
100 Women Salt Spring Island is just one of approximately 400 chapters in North America, a supportive and encouraging community of people who care about their communities.
The first 100 Women Who Care started in 2006 and was initiated by Karen Dunigan of Jackson, Michigan.
